HISTORY

Primitive décor is a style of living. It evokes feelings of taking you back to colonial times when décor was simple and flaws were welcomed.

Primitive

The dictionary defines primitive as among the first of something, potentially simple and crude, or made by an unschooled artist.

Primitive furniture refers to handmade tables, desks, dressers, and chairs from before the era of mass production. Most of this furniture, made between the mid-1700s and early 1800s, was built by farmers, who were able to supplement their incomes during the dormant months making practically anything their farm or community could need.

INDUSTRIAL

The industrial style is linked to the same name movement of the 1920s in the United States mainly in New York, peaking in the 1950s, when warehouses and factories located in the outskirts of cities become main players in the economic life of the county. The industrial décor is intimately linked to the loft esthetics.

Everything in a pure state: the more evident the passing of time, the better, delicacy “0”: wood is abundant and rough on the table tops, seats and legs. When dealing with iron, the design reminds us of the last years of the XIX century and the beginning of the XX century, wheels with railway esthetics or enormous rough clocks, are mere examples.
